Cookie Policy
Last Updated: August 2026 | Applies to logtolast.com and authenticated platform
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies LogToLast LLC ("we", "us", "our") uses when you visit logtolast.com or use our authenticated trading platform. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control them.
For broader information about how we process your personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide analytical and marketing information to site owners. Other similar technologies include web beacons (tiny transparent images), local storage, and session storage.
2. Our Cookie Categories
We use four categories of cookies. The table and descriptions below explain each one:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Always Active Cannot Be DisabledThese cookies are essential for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, maintain a session, or use any authenticated feature. They do not track activity for marketing purposes. No consent is required for these under the ePrivacy Directive.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session | LogToLast | Maintains your authenticated login session | 30 days |
cookie_consent | LogToLast | Stores your cookie consent preferences | 1 year |
csrf_token | LogToLast | Prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks | Session |
Functional Cookies
Consent RequiredThese cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization on the platform. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use. If you disable these, some features may not work correctly.
| Cookie / Technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Payment security, fraud detection, checkout flow | 1 year / Session |
Cloudflare Challenge cookies (cf_clearance) | Cloudflare | Bot mitigation, DDoS protection, trust verification | Varies |
First-Party Telemetry & Analytics
Cookieless / Privacy-by-DesignLogToLast operates on a strict Privacy-by-Design architecture. We do not use third-party analytics trackers such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our internal telemetry system is 100% first-party, anonymized, and operates without placing persistent tracking cookies on your device. It records high-level aggregated metrics (such as page views, referrer domains, and device categories) to optimize platform stability, security, and user experience, in full compliance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) and ePrivacy exemptions for cookieless first-party measurement.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| First-Party Telemetry Beacons | LogToLast (Internal) | Aggregated page performance, anonymized referrer source, device category | None (Cookieless) |
Marketing & Advertising
Zero Third-Party Ad TrackersLogToLast does not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or ad networks (such as Google Ads remarketing or Meta Ads). We do not profile your browsing activity, nor do we sell, rent, or monetize your trading data. Inbound campaign parameters (e.g., standard UTM tags) are processed strictly in-memory during signup to attribute organic or affiliate referrals to your account profile.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| First-Party UTM Parameters | LogToLast | Inbound referral attribution (stored in your user profile upon voluntary registration) | Permanent (account-level) |
3. How We Obtain Consent & Privacy-by-Design
Because LogToLast strictly uses essential session cookies (required for login security and CSRF defense) and 100% first-party cookieless telemetry with zero cross-site profiling, no intrusive third-party cookie consent banner is required under EU/UK GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. We do not clutter your trading screens with popups, nor do we track you across third-party websites.
Within our authenticated platform, all functional security tools operate strictly in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) to protect trader accounts against fraud, account takeovers, and unauthorized API replication.
4. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Because our architecture is already 100% free of third-party advertising and tracking cookies, visits from GPC-enabled browsers (such as Brave) are natively respected out-of-the-box with zero tracking overhead.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have full control over cookies on your devices:
- Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their settings. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging into your LogToLast account because session authentication cookies are strictly necessary.
- Email Request: Contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected] for any inquiries regarding data protection and cookie management.
6. Third-Party Sub-Processors (Cookie Context)
The following essential third parties set or receive data from functional cookies on our site. For our full sub-processor inventory, see our Privacy Policy.
| Provider | Category | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe Inc. | Functional (Payments & Fraud Prevention) | stripe.com/privacy |
| Cloudflare Inc. | Functional (Security & DDoS Mitigation) | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
7. Do We Use Cookies in Our Desktop Apps?
Our desktop software (LogToSync โ the MT5/NinjaTrader Bridge, and the Backtest Lab Desktop App) does not use browser cookies. However, these applications do communicate with our servers using your authenticated session token (transmitted via secure HTTPS API calls) to verify your subscription status. This is not a cookie โ it is a server-side authentication mechanism. Please refer to our End-User License Agreement (EULA) for full details on data collected by the desktop applications.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, display a notification on the website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
