Risk Warning & Disclosure
This page provides important information about the risks associated with trading financial instruments and using the services offered by LogToLast LLC. By using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the risks outlined below.
High-Risk Investment Warning: Trading futures, foreign exchange (forex), contracts for difference (CFDs), and other financial products on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. You could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.
General Trading Risks
- Market Volatility: The prices of financial instruments can be extremely volatile and may be affected by external factors such as financial, regulatory, or political events.
- Leverage Risk: Trading on margin magnifies potential profits and losses. A small market movement can have a proportionately larger impact on the funds you have deposited.
Risks Associated with Personal Account Synchronizing
- Execution Discrepancies: When replicating your own trades across multiple accounts, differences in broker execution speeds, spreads, and market liquidity can result in trades being executed at different prices or failing to execute across your connected accounts.
- Account Synchronization Risks: Technical issues, internal processing latency (typically 15ms+ but subject to server load), or broker API limits may cause delays or failures in trade replication. You accept the risk that synchronization issues could result in unmatched positions or unintended risk exposure across your personal portfolios.
Risks Associated with Automated Trading & Webhooks
- Strategy Risk: An automated strategy, whether created by you or a third party, may not perform as expected in live market conditions. Backtested results do not guarantee future profits.
- Technical Risk: The use of automated systems, webhooks, and local desktop execution bridges (LogToSync) is subject to technical failures. This includes, but is not limited to, internet connectivity issues, platform bugs, latency between servers, and broker-side execution problems. Specifically, LogToLast absorbs zero liability for slippage, missed trades, or API rate-limit bans caused by local PC sleep states, Windows updates, or broker-side matching engine failures. Such failures can result in missed trades or unintended executions.
- Slippage: Slippage is the difference between the expected price of a trade and the price at which the trade is actually executed. This can occur during periods of high volatility, causing you to get a less favorable price than intended.
- HFT Echo Loop Circuit Breaker: Extreme high-frequency manual actions (e.g., panic clicking to close trades) may trigger our internal automated circuit breakers, temporarily locking signal generation to protect the API infrastructure. You explicitly assume the risk of slippage or losses incurred during these temporary lockouts.
- Automated Playbook Liquidations: If you enable the "Trading Playbook Enforcer," the system will forcefully liquidate trades that violate your rules. Automated forced liquidations during volatile conditions can suffer massive slippage. LogToLast accepts zero liability for the execution price or losses resulting from these automated closures.
Risks Associated with Simulated Trading & Proprietary Trading Firms ("Prop Firms")
- Not Real Money: If you are participating in a Prop Firm evaluation or challenge, you are trading in a simulated environment with virtual funds. Simulated trading results do not represent actual trading and may under-or-over compensate for the impact of market liquidity, slippage, and emotional pressure.
- Third-Party Rule Changes: LogToLast is a technology provider, not a broker or Prop Firm. Third-party Prop Firms may change their rules, drawdowns, and payout conditions at any time without notice. You are solely responsible for ensuring your trading style and use of our software complies with their specific Terms of Service.
- Evaluation Failure Risk: LogToLast is not responsible for failed Prop Firm evaluations, denied payouts, or account terminations resulting from the use of our software, network latency, desynchronization between accounts, or discrepancies between our tracking metrics and the Prop Firm's official dashboard.
